Born in Powell River, B.C. Jason's early influences include everything from the Beatles to Beethoven. He began studying piano and drums in elementary school and got his first guitar at 16. He moved to Vancouver in 1996 and enrolled in the Jazz Studies program at Vancouver Community College. While there he majored in guitar and saxophone and graduated with scholarships for his work on both instruments.

    Jason began teaching and performing in Vancouver in 1998. He has taught at the Mozart School of Music, the Shadbolt Center for the Arts, and at the Bonsor Recreation Center where he taught guitar, sax, and drums for 13 years. He moved to Maple Ridge in 2018 and now teaches at the Maple Ridge Arts Center and at his home studio.

      Jason also enjoys a busy performance schedule, covering a variety of events all over the greater Vancouver area. He plays guitar, saxophone, drums, and sings for several groups including full band, duo, and solo acts. His song list covers hits from early Rock n Roll, Country, Swing, and lots of traditional and Holiday favourites.
